Q: I have registered, what do I need to do now?
A: After registering for the event, you will have received a confirmation from our registration system confirming your payment. Now just hold tight and you will receive an email closer to the event with the link to the virtual platform. This where you will access the live stream and each session during the conference. We recommend that you bookmark this link or keep it handy so that you know where to go to login when it comes time for each session.
Q: What if I want to leave and come back in?
A: No problem. You can come and go as you please through the virtual platform.
Q: Where can I get technical support?
A: We will have staff on hand to monitor our email, AIA@KessJones.com and phones (866) 219-4582 one hour prior and throughout the entire event. You can also use the chat feature to reach our staff online.
Q: Any tips when I log on?
A: For the best connection, you should close any unused programs. If you are on a laptop, make sure to plug it in, Zoom take a lot of power to run. Also, try to find the best wifi signal, or better yet, be on a hard-wired computer. If you are at home and others are streaming from the internet at the same time, it could impact the quality of your signal.
IMPORTANT: This platform works best through the CHROME browser.
Q: I am having trouble hearing, what can I do?
A: Make sure to test your speakers (yep, make sure they are on!). If you are getting robotic voices or a delay, it is most likely your internet. You can always try to leave and come back into the room.
Q: Are presentations being recorded?
A: Yes, we are recording all of the presentations. Recordings will be posted on the virtual platform to access after the conference.
Q: Are PowerPoints available?
A: If the presenter has granted us permission to post their presentations, they will be made available on their session page.
Q: How do I ask questions?
Use the Q&A feature, located at the bottom of your video screen. Questions will be monitored during the event, and if time allows addressed live, or online.
Q: What is the best way to view today’s virtual event?
A: Although we can control many things on our end, there are some items you, as the viewer can change. If you are not seeing the presenter side-by-side with the slides, we recommend changing your setting to “side-by-side” mode.
1. While viewing a shared screen click on View Options and choose Side-by-side Mode.
2. The shared screen will appear on the left and the speaker will appear on the right.
3. Hover your pointer over the boundary between the shared screen and participants’ video until your pointer changes to a double arrow and you see a grey line separating both views.
4. Click and drag the separator to adjust the size of each view.

Q: Why can’t I see the polls?
A: If you are viewing on a mobile phone, tablet or web version of zoom, you may not have access to all of the zoom features. If you are on your phone, make sure “pop ups” are enabled.
Q: What CEUs do you offer?
A: We have been applied for 2.5 continuing education hours for Social Workers. A Certificate of Participation will also be provided to present to other organizations. It is the responsibility of the attendee to determine whether his or her licensing board will accept the CE offered and to assure that their attendance is tracked and that they have completed the required documentation.
Q: Do I have to attend the entire day?
A: Yes, there is no partial credit. Attendance is being tracked through the virtual platform.
Q: How do I get the credit?
A: You must do the check-in surveys and complete the post-event survey to access a certificate.
